In a recent interview with DJ Mag, Tiesto reveals just why he left trance back in 2007/2008. The interviewer asks if he would have been as big in the United States if he would have kept within the trance genre. Tiesto responds by saying it's nice to be in touch with the kids these days and that he is seen as the Godfather for trance.
