During Coachella Music Festival this weekend, Daft Punk debuted a new trailer for their new album ‘Random Access Memories' without warning on the jumbotron. Here previewed a 1.5 minute preview with Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers and Daft Punk themselves in their Yves Saint Laurent designed costumes. The extended preview was from their upcoming single called “Get Lucky.”
Daft Punk revealed some secrets from the upcoming album as follows:
- Daft Punk began working on Random Access Memories in 2008 in Paris with no clear plan
- Random Access Memories captured their “endless fascination with blurs between humans and technology”
- Pharrell, Julian Casablancas, Giorgio Moroder and Panda Bear are among the guest vocalists
- The album has moved away from the computerized sounds and reflects Daft Punk's “ambivalence”
- Daft Punk isn't a fan of the “comfort zone” that Dance music is in
- There are no current tour plans
