Good evening/morning dubstep world. I have a special treat for all of you experimental sound lovers out there. I just recently received a track by the artist Circuit Bent. The first song I listened to by Circuit Bent is “Bloss”. As soon as the song started I knew I was in for a treat. The intro of the song features a brass instrument riff played continuously. Soon a military marching snare drum fades in and takes over the listeners attention. Then the drop slowly makes its presence known, but it is more of a dull transfer into chaotic sounds that you would hear in a child's toy chest. Halfway through the song, the brass instrument softly plays in the background which gives off an ominous feeling. As soon as the song was over, I took off my head phones, sat back in my chair and thought, “What the F**k did I just listen to?”
I soon came to enjoy the chaos that Circuit Bent brings to the table, and have now become an avid follower. I give Circuit Bent a 6 out of 10, but that rating will most likely go up sometime in the near future.
