Ever since Apple introduced iTunes back on January 9th, 2001 (12 years ago), it has been a massive annual stream for Apple. Millions of people have flocked to this popular music downloading program and it shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. Apple built a $16 billion annual revenue from digital content alone.
Apple analyst Horace Dediu said that on average a iTunes users will spend roughly $40 per year on Apps, Music and Digital Downloads.
