Mount Kimbie is a electronic music duo made up of Dominic Maker and Kai Campos. Their music lies somewhere in the world of post-dubstep and future-garage. Tracks from their first LP, ‘Crooks and Lovers', have tight, danceable rhythms without feeling robotic; dreamy synths whirl in and out without feeling too sleepy.
Their forthcoming album, ‘Cold Spring Fault Less Youth' (via Warp Records) drops on May 27/28 2013, but Mount Kimbie has released three singles to date, the latest being yesterdays release of You Took Your Time (feat. King Krule) on vocals. Its an exciting track, that veers closer to the middle of the road in terms of structure and production that Mount Kimbie listeners might expect.
