Pretty Lights has always offered his music for free by heading over to his official website. Recently Pretty Lights released his new EP, ‘A Color Map of the Sun' in which he also offered on his website for free and without any DRM. However, that hasn't swayed people from buying the actual album. Recent reports shows that ‘A Color Map of the Sun' debuted at the #24 spot this month cracking the US Top 30.
Also vinyl sales appear to be doing very well for Pretty Lights as he is now at the #1 spot for his LP in the country.
