With summer in full swing, most of our artists are busy doing shows on back to back weekends and the rest of you are busy going nuts at said shows. Our inbox has been a little quiet as a result, but nevertheless I had a full 252 songs to listen to. Todays playlist is a mixed bag of joyful electro house, trap and dubstep, festival anthems, and a dash of trance for good measure. Keep the party going, kids.
1) Danny Chen Feat. Alana Aldea – Through My Eyes
I love this progressive house track from Danny Chen. The lyrics are sweet and beautiful without being too soft, and he perfectly masters transitions and crescendos… it easily takes the number one spot on my playlist.
2) Throttle – Boombox (Original Mix)
Aussie producer Throttle lays it down in this smooth trackwhich starts out like a breezy summer day then amps up the heat with serious base. Recent release on Monstercat Records.
3) Convergence [Silinder Remix]
For some seriously deep, gloriously chill house music, look no further than this beautiful track by Silinder out of Dublin Ireland. I was swaying unconsciously in my chair right away, and after it was done, I hit play again.
4) Power Rangers Theme Song(SAYMYNAME's Trap Remix)
Okay, we posted this on our facebook page, so this is redundant, but damn this song is F*ing sweet. It deserves a place in the top ten. If you haven't listened yet, do it. Free download, people!
5) The Boomzers – Atomic
A high voltage electro track straight out of Italy, with impressive bass lines and growling synth. Available for free download!
6) Torn – Cassie Marin
Gorgeous, bittersweet lyrics adorn this electro heavy track that is so far from pop music its insane. Reminiscent of early stage Krewella, you guys are going to dig this girl.
7) Hijack Da Bass – Colossus (Original Mix)
HDB has long been a favorite of mine for their undeniable grasp of booming bass, and this track from their upcoming EP proves once again that they know how to make your heart pound to a different rhythm.
8) DNNYD Feat. DyCy – Don't Hold Me Back (Franks P Remix)
I have no idea how to say the title of this track but that doesn't stop me from liking it. Really love the lyrics on this. Franks P is new to our coverage, so give him some love.
9) Fire (Ft. K.O.G.) – Sonar Cousin
This UK based producer has a background in hip hop and it shows. This is one of the most unique tracks I reviewed, and I'm marking Sonar Cousin down as someone to keep an eye on.
10) Vicetone – Tremble
I'm not supposed to post previews, however as co-founder I do what I want. One of my favorite duos of all time is Vicetone. They churn out hits, they pick excellent vocalists, and are just solidly nice human beings. This preview shows the beginnings of another epic festival track. Nicely done.
