Back in 2012, Bridget Hilton paired up with Joe Huff to create LSTN headphones. LSTN is a startup based in West Hollywood, California that has decided to give back to the deaf by donating a portion of their profits from their unique line of headphones. When talking to Bridget, I asked her what her background was and why she decided to get into the headphone business in the first place in which she told us that she has “always been in music.” Bridget's background was the A&R business, so to start a company that gave back to a charity was something she had wanted to do her entire life.
Bridget went on to tell me that there are wooden guitars, violins and pianos, but she always wondered why Headphones weren't wooden as well. Each pair of headphones is crafted with beautiful reclaimed exotic woods and offer a distortion-free listening experience. LSTN wants you to focus on more than just the superior sound quality and exceptional design, but the fact that LSTN is a company with a mission to create global change. LSTN has begun the Amplified program that for every pair of headphones purchased means that LSTN will help restore hearing to a child in need through the Starkey Hearing Foundation.
