In a recent interview between Avicii and Rolling Stone, Avicii told the magazine that “I still don’t really feel like I’ve had time to slow down and really realize where it has all come to. A lot of dance music has gotten more and more repetitive – too focused on the dirty drop. I was always interested in the melodic part of house music.” This makes sense that Avicii would say this especially since his new album ‘TRUE' focuses heavily on the melodies rather than the drops. This type of transition hasn't been taken lightly by fans across electronic music though.
Avicii went on to say that “I wanted to collaborate with songwriters who weren’t used to electronic music, which was interesting from the start. I wanted to make real music, in a sense. And I wanted every track to be a single.” If every track does as well as Avicii's “Wake Me Up” did, then we are sure Avicii's ‘TRUE' will give Calvin Harris a run for his money.
