Pendulum has been a staple of electronic music for over ten years, and this week Chicago electro trio, Krewella, made an acoustic cover of their track ‘Watercolour' featuring piano player Evan Duffy. This track is quite a change of pace for Krewella, who generally rely on “the hard stuff” rather than this soft piano & voice driven ballad. Their cover is extremely original, replacing the fast paced D'n'B with ambient and elegant background noises and using more vocal harmony and different effects. In spite of all of the changes, this cover still retains the intensity of the original in an entirely different form. Krewella released this track as part of a series of promotional tracks released every wednesday until the release of their new album, “Get Wet”, which is out 9/24. You can check out last week's release ‘Party Monster' on their Soundcloud and keep a look out for more tracks they release on Get Wet Wednesdays.
