Two days ago Big Beat Records released The Chainsmokers' remix of “Girlfriend”. The duo from New York turned the original reminding me a little bit of a high school movie soundtrack (This isn't necessarily a bad thing!) into a dancy Progressive Electro House track.
I took notice of Icona Pop for the first time when Chiddy Bang sampled the Swedish DJ duo's track Manners. The following single “I Love It feat. Charli XCX” has been their greatest success so far (Make sure to check out the Jakwob remix as well.). “Girlfriend” is the first single from their new album “This Is… Icona Pop”.
