San Francisco tech-house producer Worthy, of Anabatic Records, released his highly anticipated two-track EP, “Flashin” today. Worthy's nearly 9,000 followers on SoundCloud were given a short preview of the compilation two weeks ago which quickly gained momentum, picking up over 3,000 plays.
The two heavy tracks were staples of Worthy's summer repertoire, tearing up dance floors nationwide.
The title track, “Flashin” takes us back to that early rave vibe of deep bass that can be felt from head to toe. An extended build-up prepares listeners (or, just barely) for the drop that leaves them shaken up in the best possible way. The song has HUGE sounds, ready for the biggest and rowdiest crowds.
Up next is “Trinidad,” a striking yet welcomed contrast from the former. A steady drum-line maintains the pace of the tune while a combination of funk-inspired bass and hip-hop beats create a sound that makes it completely impossible not to get down. The song is impeccably fresh, mixing up many different genres and influences for a final package that is nothing less than awesome.
The two songs together cover all the bases and reach each and every listener on some level.
