David Guetta became the next dj-turned-dogooder today when he announced his partnership with the United Nations for a twitter campaign benefiting humanitarian aid. For every tweet #TheWorldNeedsMore #Love, Guetta will donate $1 to the cause. Even more incredible is that Guetta's video for the fundraising drive will be projected, super size, onto the United Nations building in New York City. Which is, you know, gigantic. This is really inspiring considering the other participants are international companies (Intel, Western Union) and David Guetta is just one person making a difference. Whatever you think of his albums or style, this is a wonderful thing to do for the countless people who will wake up today without food, water, schoolbooks, or someone to get a hug from. You can read more about the fundraising efforts at Rolling Stone or watch an interview with Guetta on the project at Huffington Post.
With HuffPo, EDM blogs, Rolling Stone, and Reddit on this, along with Guetta's 13.4 million followers on twitter, this could end up being super huge… its an epic move. Let's get out there and tweet this up to show PLUR support.
