Whenever I hear the word “mash-up”, I think the Hood Internet. I've been listening to these guys for the longest time since I first heard their take on “Ignition” (which was admittedly my jam at one point of my life, but let's not get into that right now). The Hood Internet is practically synonymous with the word “mash-up” and with good reason. The duo from Chicago makes some of the sickest mash-ups I have ever listened to. Unlike most acts out there, these guys take two songs from different genres that you'd never think would sound good together and mix them in so seamlessly it's insane. Their latest release “Infinite Starts” combines EDM and Hiphop/Rnb, it's pretty much a mashup of Drake‘s vocals from “Started From the Bottom” combined with song elements from Bauuer and RL Grime. The song overall has a dirty, in-your-face appeal — it's the kind of song you play when you need a quick ego fix, or just feel ballin'.
Oh and by the way, you can download the track for free on their Soundcloud.
