Cashmere Cat just posted Party Girls, a track he produced for Ludacris featuring Wiz Khalifa and Jeremih.
Ludacris hasn't put out an album for a few years and Ludaversal, his next full-length release has been delayed. Maybe this and more from Cashmere Cat will show up in the Ludaverse. Only time will tell.
The Jersey Club sound is definitely present with shuffling hi-hats and rolling drums, plus all of Cashmere Cat‘s familiar flourishes. Oh and of course, listen in for the hook, borrowed from Aqua's 1997 “Barbie Girl”. As fun as Ludacris' audio party is, something feels a little off; maybe the lack of twisted and morphed vocals adding to the musicality is missing, or maybe the verses just feel flat compared to the range in Cashmere Cat's past tracks.
