The ‘Japanese Beethoven’ Responsible for ‘Resident Evil’ Is A Fraud

The “Japanese Beethoven” known as Mamoru Samuragochi has been a widely celebrated composer for scoring Campcom's first “Resident Evil” video game as well as many other known productions despite claiming to be deaf. Takashi Niigaki came out in a press conference and exposed Mamoru as a fraud and let the media know that he was the ghost-writer for his works this entire time. Niigaki went on to say that “I've never felt he was deaf ever since we met. We carry on normal conversations.”

Niigaki said that over the past 18 years that Niigaki has been paid out about 7 million yen or $69,000 to write more than 20 pieces. Niigaki said “At first he acted to me also as if he had suffered hearing loss, but he stopped doing so eventually. Later I found out that he cannot even write musical scores.”
