Though he had been around for over a decade, 2010 was the year Gareth Emery proved to be one of the UK's best and brightest producer/DJs around; by releasing his debut album, Northern Lights, which made it to the #1 spot on the iTunes dance charts in the U.S., and reaching the highest spot Emery has ever reached on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs list, at #7. Since then, Emery has been growing even further as a force in electronic music- whether it be playing just about every festival under the sun, running his popular Sirius XM radio show “The Gareth Emery Podcast,” or being the head-honcho of the popular dance music label, Garuda Music- and people have been anticipating the follow-up to his debut album.
Today, Emery posted the full tracklist of his upcoming sophomore album, Drive, on his Twitter. The tracklist includes a track featuring Christina Novelli- the same vocalist whom he worked with to make his immensely popular single, “Concrete Angel“- as well as his sister, Roxanne Emery, whom he's worked with before. The tracklist also include the collaboration he did with the popular dance music trio Krewella, “Lights and Thunder,” though it seems a bit lackluster, seeing as you could already have the track if you've purchased Krewella's debut album, Get Wet, which came out a few months ago.
The full tracklist for Drive is as follows:
1. Entrada
2. Dynamite (ft. Christina Novelli)
3. Eye of the Storm (ft. Gavin Beach)
4. Javelin (ft. Ben Gold)
5. Beautiful Rage (ft. LJ Ayrten)
