Next in line for Night Supply is Denver house veteran Danny Marin’s debut single “Searchin”. His new release “Searchin” is the product of an intimate knowledge within the realms of live performance, audio engineering and post production work; which has resonated strongly within the Night Supply aesthetic of style meeting substance.
Danny Marin’s production skills are evident from the first finely tuned and compressed kick drum. A gradual momentum shift, thorough comprehension of dance structure and evolution; along with the chosen swing pattern have this track standing out from much of the saturated and processed dance music stateside. Its groove is one stemming from careful craftsmanship of a bouncy and infectious bass line subtly intertwining under a complex melody. Both elements pair together to provide the extra punch needed to create such an eerily intoxicating sonic atmosphere. Heavy Organ molded pads give way to its layered melody and an additional underlying pattern while leaning on fragments of the chosen vocal sample; creating tension before an expertly timed utilization of the lush lead verse. This elegant vocal, creatively sliced and diced from the Bloody Beetroots & Greta Svabo Beich’s 2012 single “Chronicles of Fallen Love”, is a gracefully grimy and unforgettable choice sending waves from the onset; from the chops and distortion to the ominous verses. Danny's ability to marry his electronic groove with those stirring, gracious lyrics is refreshingly opposite of the current trend of throwaway club tracks.
Danny affiliated with Night Supply in April of 2013, already owning an impressive resume with over 20 years of experience which boasts numerous musical endeavors and residencies since the waxy days of vinyl only. Since revitalizing and igniting his Music Production career under the Night Supply banner, this wise and slick craftsman has earned the opportunity of sharing the stage with some of the biggest and established dance acts including house superstars MK & Derrick Carter to more contemporary flavors like Moon Boots, Doorly, J Phlip, Vanilla Ace, Tim Green, Cyril Hahn and Bit Funk. 2014 looks to be a banner year for Danny and we couldn't be more excited to have such professional experience as part of our family.
