Here's a great new tune from Live City for the Melbourne bounce and house music fans. The New York-based duo just released this tune on Tommie Sunshine's Brooklyn Fire Records with vocals from Big Nab, who gives the track a unique boost. This four-minute clip was posted two days ago online. The full extended version be available to buy next Tuesday, March 11th on Beatport.
This is real groovy track that separates itself from others in the Melbourne bounce variety. In addition to the nice instrumentals, Big Nab's vocals give it a bit of a 90's dance vibe a la Will Smith or Quad City DJ's. Perhaps an early bid for the Space Jam 2 Soundtrack? That being said, it's still clearly a modern electro house banger. Certainly a tune to watch before it's release date. In addition to being on Sunshine's Brooklyn Fire Label, Live City has releases on Ultra, Interscope, Capitol, Big Beat, Liftoff, and S&S. They've received support from Afrojack, Kaskade, Bingo Players, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, MAK J, Felix Cartal, and W&W to name a few. Check out the song below and lurk Live City's Facebook page. Here's their official statement about the track on Soundcloud:
We have been working on this record for over a year now, waiting for the perfect vocalist to match our sound. We reached out to Big Nab after hearing him throw down on Fries & Shine “Melbourne Bounce”, and instantly he laid down the vocals and we knew we had something special.
We're proud to unveil our newest original, “Champagne Blast” Ft. Big Nab.
