New York based dance-punk band The Rapture has quietly broken up. News went out after front-man Luke Jenner was put on the bill for Red Bull Music Academy Event in New York as ‘formerly of The Rapture'. The Band has officially not confirmed, but Jonathan Galkin of DFA Records responded “I kept thinking it might blow over, but that might not be the case.” in a recent interview with Self-Titled. While not confirmed, the signs sure point to the end to one of the great dance-punk bands.
