This joint is bad ass. Up-and-coming Arizona bred producer Y//2//K// has been on my music radar for about a month or so now but his newest original sounds like something that's been thrown in a blender with old school Hudson Mohawke & recent stuff by Sinjin Hawke, simply put; I can not get enough of it. At first the vocals on “Curtains” were a little off-putting to me, but after a couple runs through I came to dig the oddly monotone Vox used throughout. The sound design in general on this record is so over the top [in a good way] from the almost overpowering lead Synth, to the 808 dropping drum patterns filled with notoriously thrusting hi-hats that will keep your head bobbing back and forth to the beat, this one is on point.
