Live Nation and Harman International have partnered up and opened a new venue in NYC. Pier 97 is on the West Side of Manhattan, resting on top of the beautiful Hudson River waters. Although the location is not near a residential area, Pier 97's main stage will face away from the city to keep noise complaints at bay. The 6,000 capacity venue will Make Up for the recent closing of Roseland Ballroom, a place where events such as Hilary Clinton's birthday party and numerous movie premieres were held.
JBL Live at Pier 97 is opening doors to fans in the early summer at 57th St. and the West Side Highway. The Fray (July 9), 311 (July 19), The Soulshine Tour with Michael Franti and Spearhead (July 21) as well as Robyn and Röyksopp’s Do It Again Tour (August 20) are the first of many shows that are to come at this location.
