Friday night at Webster Hall was a wild one. Gent & Jawns, opened for Pegboard Nerds and started the night off right with a trap-heavy set that incorporated some moombahton and electro elements. Finally, after an hour and a half of long awaited anticipation, Pegboard Nerds took the stage. The duo began their heavy dubstep set with enthusiasm and passion. The crowd mirrored the energy from the two onstage and pretty soon, everyone was going absolutely mad. Drop after drop Pegboard Nerds smoothly transitioned from remixes to originals that kept the crowd captivated and itching for what would come next.

One important skill an artist must posses in order to be a successful performer is the ability to respond to the crowd. To be able to tailor a performance in an impromptu way to fit a specific atmosphere shows control, expertise, and ultimately sets that artist apart from others who do not have that talent. One of the reasons why Pegboard Nerds are so damn good behind the decks is because they know exactly what the crowd wants to hear. Micheal Parsberg pumped the energy from behind the table while Alexander Odden came closer to the stage touching hands of starstruck fans. The duo definitely knows how to interact with the crowd, which made for an overall unforgettable night.
