Fans of Paris Hilton will rejoice to hear that the self-proclaimed Top 5 DJ will be performing May 9th at Echostage in Washington DC. Hilton, who has wavered back and forth while looking for a career between perfume, clothes, reality tv, singing, and now finally music producing, has scored 4 gig residency at Harrah's Casino in Atlantic City (New Jersey).
Of course, Hilton is no newbie to the edm scene. She's a huge fan – being in clubs, dancing in clubs, listening to music in clubs… though to be fair to Hilton, she's no music snob. “I don't even know his name,” she said once of Steve Angello after meeting him in 2009. In 2012, Paris signed with Lil Wayne’s Cash Money Records and made her DJ debut at the Pop Music Festival in Brazil where she premiered her single called “Last Night”, produced by former boyfriend Afrojack. In case you missed that display of overwhelming talent, here ya go. Unfortunately during this debut, she attempted to sing her song over top of a song by Rihanna, and that was when a dude ran onstage and began trying to stop the train wreck that was happening.
“I think it’s just about me sharing with the world my true passion, which is music. I also love to make people happy.”
DJing and the world of #PLUR would definitely be a new leaf for Hilton, whose previous joys included making fun of poor people.
This show brings the much gossiped about Hilton one step closer to real DJ legitimacy. Will you be attending? Do you think Hilton could prove herself? Let us know in the comments!
