Last weekend, Necto hosted an unforgettable Official Movement Pre-Party. Opening the night were local DJs J. Clark the Groovemaster and Chuck Flask of Paxahau. J. Clark started out the night with some great tracks that set the tone of the night. Chuck Flask followed up with deep Detroit electro sounds.
By 11pm, the event was sold out and comfortably packed. I appreciate how the venue was able to sell out and not make the dancefloor into a sardine pit. This way you could enjoy the music while dancing instead of hopping for air (for those who are vertically challenged like myself).
As midnight approached, the dance floor was full, the crowd was pumped from the previous artists, and the excitement to see J. Phlip was at an all time high. And J.Phlip did not disappoint. J.Phlip took the audience on a musical journey. Starting out with some Amsterdam sounds, to a taste of Chicago house, to Detroit electo, and even pulled out some tracks from a local gem, Disco D. Overall, if you were at the Necto last Saturday, you got great opening acts, room to dance, and able see a performance that only a Dirtybird member could deliver.
