Mike Snow and Linus Eklow aka Style of Eye, make up a groundbreaking Swedish duo known as GALANTIS! The accomplished duo destroys current electronic dance music charts, demonstrating that emotion and passion that coexist with a massive sound. The duo has been taking over dance floors and airwaves individually for years, after admiring each other's music, and Galantis was born. Now the duo is on their own North American tour, stopping at cities such as; Boston, Chicago, and New York City.
The Bowery Ballroom was their third show performing as Galantis live, no one really knew what to expect. If you have never been to the Ballroom it is small and intimate but with an amazing sound system. Being about twenty minutes late to the stage, Mike Snow and Style of Eye make their way to the tambourine and the electronic drum set, DJ deck. Galantis blew everyone away, with their lively performances by starting off with their very first single SMILE. Within the first ten minutes they had everyone's hands in the air and singing along. Playing all of their best known songs like Friend, Help, Revolution and everyone's favorite You. When Galantis dropped You everyone screamed out every word, and they didn't just play it, they played it for ten minutes long; mixing it with other YOU remixes. Mike Snow and Style of Eye are amazing DJs as individuals but I have never seen two people so unified, Galantis's journey has only just begun. Performing an incredible show, it was so moving, so wild, so much fun; Galantis closed the show with their song The Heart That I'm Hearing. What an epic show, so much life everyone had, I loved every moment of it. Galantis will have New York City sining I remember YOU for a long time.
