A Kickstarter campaign recently acquired 4,000 Aphex Twin fans from around the world raising a total of $67,424 to have an unreleased album ripped to a digital format. The campaign received the blessing from the UK producer and his record label Rephlex last month after a rare test pressing of ‘Caustic Window' which was discovered on Discogs with a sale price $13,500.
As the campaign has officially ended, 4,124 fans ended up donating more than 7 times the original target which was $9,300.
The test pressing will now be ripped to a digital format and distributed to the buyers. The proceeds of the eBay sale will be divided three ways between charity, Rephlex/Aphex Twin and the Kickstarter contributors.
