Dubstep Has Been Added to The Merriam-Webster Dictionary

Since emerging into the music scene back in 2002, “dubstep” was never actually seen as a word by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary until recently. The Merriam-Webster's 2014 Collegiate edition has also accepted “auto-tune,” “selfie,” “hashtag,” “tweep” and “spoiler alert” as official words for this year's Collegiate dictionary.

So how does Merriam-Webster define “dubstep?” Dubstep is “a type of electronic dance music having prominent bass lines and syncopated drum patterns.”

We still like this definition better though:
