The music streaming service Spotify has announced that it now has 10 million global subscribers.
In addition to the 10 million global users, Spotify now has 40 million active monthly users in 56 countries throughout the world. This number has grown significantly due to the mobile usage of the app. According to sources familiar with the company's data, Spotify has swelled to more than 3 million paying subscribers in less than three years since launching here in July 2011.
The last time Spotify revealed user numbers in March 2013, it had 6 million paying subscribers globally.
