Let's go back two years ago. Everyone was riding the syncopated wave of moombahton right before festival season. One of the biggest names in the genre, Nadastrom, had supported Skrillex on tour and was receiving plaudits from all over with their hit “I!!;” everyone wanted to hear those swing-and-siren stylings. Fast forward to today, it's the middle of festival season and Nadastrom is still pumping out music. However, this time it's been a while since we have heard from Nadastrom and the track they release is much less siren and much more swing with a deep undertone. The flavor and feel of the moombah rhythm is still there but the sirens are replaced with a low-end engorged, deep-house swing. Reaching back in their own production history, “Fallen Down” is a production that is smoothly atmospheric, trip-hop inspired and a danceable aural experience. It can be equally eerie and bouncy with its reverb drowned vocals and low frequency melodies. Take a listen!
