A duo of producers out of Sweden have embarked on a mission described as “Empire of the Sun meets House Music.” This experiment moves outside the box of conventional EDM and main stage music. Superwalkers have taken the mystery route by hiding their true identities but EDM Sauce got the inside scoop on their first single, ‘Not Like Us'. The track is an infusion of 80s inspired disco and modern electronica. ‘Not Like Us' was recently launched on Swedish radio.
A catchy hook and down-tempo melody is an excellent combination for an early-summer tune. “It’s new, it’s fresh, and it’s electronic meeting indie.” ‘Not Like Us' delivers a distinct modern folk feel accompanied by harmonic synthesizing and vocal distortion. Inspired by modern electronic bands like Empire of the Sun and Miike Snow, Superwalkers is stepping away from labels like Universal and Sony – enabling them to put their own spin on Nu Disco. We know that Superwalkers is only just getting started and that there is a lot to look forward to from these guys.
