Last month, we heard that rumor that Twitter was looking to buy SoundCloud and if the deal would go forward, “it would likely be Twitter’s most expensive acquisition by some margin.” According to WSJ, Twitter backed out of the talks with SoundCloud since the numbers didn't add up.
According to The Financial Times it seems that Twitter was not only eyeing down SoundCloud. In fact Twitter has been eyeing down both Pandora and Spotify. The deals for the online music services were “worth billions of dollars,” meaning either purchase would be Twitter’s largest acquisition to date.
