Tiesto spent time this week to go through his entire new album, track by track, explaining how each song has a special meaning to him. The first song, “Red Lights” was inspired by a cold night in Stockholm, and “Footprints” is a reflection of how Tiesto has spent his life DJing around the world. The title track, “A Town Called Paradise”, to Tiesto is about Las Vegas, but when writing the song, he thought that everyone who listens to it would have a different definition of their town called paradise. In a separate interview, Tiesto reveals that the album is heavily influenced by singers such as Matthew Koma (featured on 2 songs). In this clip, Tiesto goes on to detail some of the vocal collaborations on the album, as well as a revitalization of “Pair of Dice” with the help of Krewella. I'm not going to give away all of the secrets revealed in the interview – Take a listen for yourself.
