This is the first single off of Above & Beyond's new album; expected to be released sometime in early 2015.
After hearing Above & Beyond play “Blue Sky Action” during their main stage performance at EDC Las Vegas, we all anxiously awaited it's official release. Featuring singer Alex Vargas, the vocals should sound familiar: he also sang on Above & Beyond's last single “Sticky Fingers”. Vargas first worked with Above & Beyond in the fall of 2013 during their acoustic show at Los Angeles‘ Greek Theater.
“Blue Sky Action” has a trancey melody with a poppy-trance drop. The song leads in with Alex Vargas' vocal and transitions beautifully. The trance synths are and vocals compliment each other perfectly. The melody is uplifting and powerful. Add this to Jono, Paavo, and Tony's list of festival tearjerkers. We all want to sing-along with some blue sky action this summer.
