C2C have already been established as some of the world's expert vinyl spinners. Their spotlight in the art of ‘turntablism” has pushed them into the world of production. Their remix of Disclosure's funky jam track “When a Fire Starts to Burn” is an awesome example of down-tempo future bass. Definitely reminiscent of Flume's Disclosure remix (“You & Me”), this track's sound design is a lot of fun.
C2C maintains the initial funk feel but adds their own energy to the drop. Disclosure's original had an awesome vocalist and the song flowed around the vocal. In C2C's version, the vocal is strategically taken apart and put back together to be less focused, and more accompanying.
