First #Selfie. Now… Kanye? Yes, The Chainsmokers‘ new track is a tease at the rapper, and self-proclaimed God, known as Kanye West. The DJ duo posted a 15 second clip of their track on Instagram yesterday, writing:
“You can be anything you want to be! @iTunes 8/5 #BELIKE”
Not writing much in the caption, The Chainsmokers are clearly letting the track speak for itself. The track is featuring Siren, and her vocals make it quite obvious ‘Kanye' is not only the sarcastic title, but the lyrics are actually about Kanye West, singing:
“One day I'll stand with a crown on my head like a God, yeah like a God. With every step, no I won't second guess what I want. I wanna be like…”
Cutting the vocals short, one can assume the next word is Kanye, but no one can know for sure, so unfortunately, we will have to wait. I am really curious to hear the rest of the track, as well as hear Mr. West's reaction to the track. I am certain both will be priceless!
