Lollapalooza is set to kickoff on August 1st in Chicago's Grant Park. Skrillex is scheduled to headline Sunday; playing the Bud Light stage from 8:30 – 10:00. Until today, there was a blank time slot listed from 7:45 – 8:30 at the Palladia stage. This mysterious headline provoked a litter of speculation. As it turns out, all the guessing was wrong. The name of the DJ leading into Skrillex's set on Sunday night will be unfamiliar to most: Kausea
Before you get disappointed, let me elaborate.
While the name “Kausea” might appear, at first, underwhelming, we are actually quite excited for this performance. You might know Ethan Kath, a.k.a. Kausea, more readily when accompanied by Alice Glass – together, they form the electronic band Crystal Castles.
Back in 2003, Crystal Castles began as Ethan Kath's solo-project. As reported by consequenceofsound.net, Kath, the production half of band will perform a DJ set on Sunday night. For bass-minded fans, he'll make for a tremendous transition between Flume (7:15 set) and Skrillex.
