Tom Petty has been one of the legendary Rock N' Rollers since the 1970's. With songs such as “Free Fallin',” “Mary Jane's Last Dance” and many more, Tom Petty has made quite the name for himself. Now Tom Petty is making a new name for himself by speaking out about his disdain for the DJ Culture.
In an interview with USA Today, Tom Petty said things like “watch people play records? That's stupid. You couldn't pay me to go. I'm not oversimplifying it. That's what's going on. I don't think it would be any fun without the drugs. It's a drug party.”
Tom Petty went on to comment on Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas by saying “you take that many kids to Vegas in the summer, what could go wrong?” said Tom. “I knew it as soon as I saw the ad. I went, ‘Ooh, dead people.’ Do you need the money so bad that you’ll put some kid’s life at risk?”
It seems Tom Petty has forgotten about all of the other deaths that have occurred at Rock N' Roll festivals over time.
Let's hear your thoughts on this situation in the comments section below.
