Australian based label Future Classic (Flume, Ta-ku, Chet Faker) has just released Karma Kid's newest single “Bird of Prey.” Although it might be hard to tell, especially because his tunes have been remixed by big names like Star Slinger and Kartell, Sam Knowles AKA Karma Kid is in fact still a kid himself. Born in 1994, this big time producer is only 19 years old.
This new single “Bird of Prey” stays true to Future Classic's signature sound but branches out with Karma Kid's own signature upbeat house style. With just the right amount of simple yet refined build up, UK garage sounding vocals, and perfectly timed breaks, Karma Kid proves that he is the prime edition to Future Classic. This tunes takes the future sound that is currently building in popularity and infuses it with classic house elements, resulting in a sound that is all his own. We can't wait to see what kind of ride Karma Kid will take us on next.
