Finally, it’s here. One of the most anticipated weekends in San Francisco is upon us. This weekend, music lovers of all types will pack up their bookbags and fanny packs (sweaters in tow), strap on their dancing shoes, board their party buses, and head to Golden Gate Park for the one and only Outside Lands Music Festival.

Named the Best Music Festival in America by several publications last year, including the Huffington Post, Outside Lands has quickly risen to the top. In only its 7th year, Outside Lands boasts some of the biggest names in the biz. With the schedule now released, I spent the majority of my day scouring the times and names, planning my stops through the most eclectic lineup yet.
Check out the daily schedules here on the Outside Lands website.
And, of course, all of us bass-craving electronic lovers will be running back to the Sutro stage to get our fill of womps. Some of the artists I’m most excited for are pretty obvious: FLUME, Duck Sauce, Chromeo, Tiesto, Disclosure. But in light of the spirit of Outside Lands, make sure you explore this weekend, go outside the norm, and try something new (esp the little guys and local SF artists). Below are some of my suggestions:
DJ Dials
Friday, 1:30-3:00, The House by Heineken
Jagwar Ma
Saturday, 2:05-2:55, Twin Peaks Stage
Tycho
Saturday, 3:40-4:30, Twin Peaks Stage
Gorgon City
Saturday, 6:00-7:45, The House by Heineken
I saw them on Holy Ship last year and am super excited to catch them again (beach party, anyone?)
Gold Panda
Sunday, 7:40-8:25, Panhandle Stage
Green Velvet
Sunday, 5:30-8:00, The House by Heineken
Have fun this weekend, stay safe, and we’ll see you on the other side!
