The new single from rising Sydney duo, Wolf Tide is here and its a bubbling and soulful five minute journey. Acoustic guitar and cathedral-reverb vocals (think Bon Iver) lead off the track and are joined by a quick succession of synths and popping drums.
Merging the singer/songwriter aesthetic with electronic music is difficult; what EDM elements can often sound like an afterthought or vocals can be mixed too low. “Spoke the Words” is a beautifully balanced song that merges delicate and carefully phrased vocals with the perfectly designed sounds, which elevates the whole piece.
