The Big Apple aka New York City, the city that never sleeps. Where all the best restaurants, bars, and nightclubs are at. If you are getting tired of the bar/nightclub scene, well you are not alone. le Poisson Rouge has came up with a solution, turning it into a small venue, and invite up and coming artists. This small, and intimate venue had good vibes all around. When you first walk downstairs to the main area, you walk into a lounge area where there are couches, a comfortable seating section. The dance floor is spacious, and very easy to get upfront if your the kind of person that likes to be right in front, with speakers blaring in your face. Even if you stand in the back, you can still have a great view. Thats another plus for Poisson Rouge, no matter where you stand your going to have a good view. Over by the bar, it has a hipster look to it, with candles and flyers covering the table, setting the mood just right. With their only downfall by having high and extreme prices for drinks. But hey its New York City, there is no such thing as a cheap drink.
With great acts such as, Body Language, Skinny Friedman, and The Hood Internet rocking out the speakers. As Skinny Friedman was closing his set, The Hood Internet came on stage with their gear and drinks getting ready to set the mood from deep house to funky mashup beats. Everyone around having a great time, dancing the night away to great music. All and all le Poisson Rouge is a great venue for great music, dancing, and especially meeting cool people.
