Just last week Ferrari decided to send Deadmau5 a cease and desist in regards to his ‘Purrari.' Now it looks like Disney is going after the mau5 this week.
Deadmau5 said that he “landed home to some interesting news: looks like Disney officially just filed in opposition of my trademark… lawyer up mickey.”
Disney claims that Deadmau5's logo is too similar to their famous Mickey ears and they're trying to block him from getting a trademark in the US.
Deadmau5's attorney Dina LaPolt said that Deadmau5 already has the mau5 head trademarked in over 30 countries and that Joel is ready to fight back against Disney.
TMZ wrote that “Disney states its ears have been a thing for more than 60 years, and says granting Deadmau5 the trademark would damage its business in the U.S. and around the world.”
