The lead single ‘Tiptoe’ premiered on Triple J’s Friday Night Shuffle with The Aston Shuffle has been getting serious pre-release plaudits with rotations heard from Jon George of RÜFÜS, KLP (Triple J), Danny T (Sweat It Out!), Gabe Gleeson (Purple Sneakers), Charlie Chux (Motorik), Husky (Random Soul), Grant Smillie (Nova/Channel V) and GT. The single is a smooth vocal workout that’s carried by the thick bass tones – a sound that Set Mo have made their own. The breakdowns are filled with a reflective string section and hold the backing for the contrasting plucked leads that fly over the higher ranges. The whole single is a typical Set Mo Job – organic elements stacked over a classy House backdrop, giving the production a live feel that would be just as at home by the pool as it is for the after-hours.
