Richard James, aka, Aphex Twin is releasing a new album called Syro. This will be the first new Aphex Twin album released since 2001’s Drukqs. This album is exactly what you can expect of James’ style of production, and that would be the unexpected. In a rare interview with Pitchfork Aphex Twin said “It can be quite impenetrable for most people, because you can't latch on to something. It sounds quite random at first.”
Syro is a great example of how talented Aphex Twin is. It is a genre bending journey through different styles. Traveling from break beat to jungle to drum n bass and ambient sounds, this album was worth the wait. You can pick up Syro on iTunes by clicking on
