Hailing from Detroit, Bryan Jones & Hugh Cleal have been taking the house scene by storm lately under the guise Golf Clap. If you don't know who, or aren't familiar with these guys yet it's ok. You've only been missing out on two dudes who really, REALLY like golf, music and djing. Case and point, at their show in Philadelphia a few months ago I went up to id an amazing song and I think Hugh was more excited about it than I was which is quite the feat. With all of this rambling done (really, I could go on for a while about these guys), let's get to the music.
Golf Clap is releasing a new LP (named for the area code of Detroit if you were curious) next week and it's a good one. 7 tracks long, the LP ranges from the chiller side of things which would a great fit for any dimly lit lounge, to an uptempo finish, all the while promoting a sound that would only make sense coming from Detroit, a city so rich in music history.
