After news of Avicii's break from playing shows was announced, SoCal was left wondering who was going to replace him on the Escape: All Hallow's Eve lineup. Headliners began tweeting Pasquale Rotella suggestions for replacements. One lucky fan's voice was finally heard after he tweeted both Armin van Buuren and Pasquale.
By the grace of the trance Gods, Matt Estrada somehow got the attention of Armin who responded “yes please :)”, which then was miraculously noticed by the Insomniac king himself. For added measure, Matt even went as far as to look up flights himself to insure Armin could make it to the event.
All this buzz eventually lead to a hashtag twitter campaign by the #trancefam to get Armin on the lineup.
Thanks to the power of the internet, it has been confirmed that Armin will close out Saturday, November 1st. Other additions to the lineup include Astrix, James Zabiele, Justin James, and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano.
