With his new single “Under The Stars” ft. Alicia Madison released this week on Bip and House Garden, what better time to catch up with this Belgian producer? His brand of emotive dance floor slammers is starting to turn heads in all the right places, and this new single has already gathered attention from Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Thomas Gold and Regi. But what does Dimaro choose to listen to when no one else is around? We found out his five guilty pleasures…
1) Funky Green Dogs – “Fired Up”
This was the very first vinyl record I bought and I still get goosebumps whenever I hear it. I remember myself standing in the DJ booth when a local DJ started spinning this track and I went completely crazy.
2) Roger Sanchez – “Again”
This track is the reason why I love house music so much. We shared the decks more than three times together. We even shared a beer together at Tomorrowland this year… He’s without a doubt the Godfather of House!
3) Temper Trap – “Sweet Disposition” (Axwell & Dirty South Remix)
In my opinion this track means the very beginning of the Tomorrowland hype. I still play this track every time I perform at Tomorrowland. It was Axwell smashing the stage with this one that got my attention. I still remember it like it was yesterday because I was lucky to go backstage with him, chilling with DJ's like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Tïesto.
4) Dimaro & Ahzee – “Drums“
This track signalled the beginning of my international career, it was signed to Ultra and we made gold with this one. It got played by all major DJ's and was a hit in over nineteen countries.
5) Dimitri Vegas, Moguai & Like Mike ft. Julian Peretta – “Body Talk”
Truly the best song made this year by my friend Dimitri Vegas and his brother Mike, who I’ve known long before the very beginning of their careers.
