Rooted in hip-hop and flared with pop, D.C. bred producer Chooky has been DJing and producing dance music since 2011. For his latest release he decided to flip Brandy’s 1994 debut record “I Wanna Be Down” into his own chipmunked-out edit that bounces with hints of R&B and soul influence. When speaking on his take on “I Wanna Be Down,” Chooky stated: ‘I have always loved Brandy, especially this record and when I stumbled across the acapella I couldn't help myself.’ Welp – were glad you were reminded of this 90’s classic too.
