In the middle of releasing a three-track EP on new label Good Game Records, US producer, song writer and singer KDrew is a busy man. As his profile continues to rise, it looks like he is going to become even more of an electro house star, giving his tunes a classy touch of pop vocals. With the first track “Signals” available to stream and “Tonight” to drop on Monday, we caught up with KDrew to find out his five musical guilty pleasures.
1) Cash Cash ft. Bebe Rexha- “Take Me Home”
This track is pop perfection. Between the production and vocals, I can’t seem to not sing it whenever it comes on.
2) Lenny Kravitz – “Again”
I think every guy has felt some sort of way listening to this track. Whenever I'm by myself driving in the rain with a pint of ice cream in the passenger seat, this is my song of choice.
3) Sam Smith – “Stay With Me”
I will be man enough to admit that one time I sang the hook in the car and my voice cracked because I got choked up. I think it's those choirs that add a bit of, “Hey if Sam Smith's vocal doesn’t make you feel something, here’s an epic choir to jam this emotionally awesome hook down your throat.”
4) Daniel Bedingfield – “If You’re Not The One”
I advise you to go listen to this on your own and let that be the explanation to this song.
5) Imogen Heap – “Hide and Seek”
Not only is this one of my favourite records, it gets me going every single time. She hits a few notes that really resonate down my spine. For some reason, I always listen to this before I fly on a plane.
